Cover it in snow perhaps: http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/gallery/?2010007-0107/GreatBritain.A2010007.1150.1km.jpg[^] Ah but of course, the UK isnt the world, and record breaking cold (as in the coldest EVER), like in Scotland this winter where it hit -22 is a sure sign of Global Warming. As was the recent heat wave in the eastern US, the floods in Pakistan, and the heatwave in Russia. All proof positive that the world is indeed warming up. Mind you the record breaking cold in Australia, Mexico, and South America must also be sure proof of GW.

Have you ever seen the movie Mean Girls? Basically the protagonist becomes so involved with infiltrating and undermining the fashion clique The Plastics that she herself transforms into one of them.

Tell that to my $250 electric bill last month... Far above its average of about $80... Think it was the second-hottest July in recorded history, for my area... This month is slightly more tolerable. EDIT: Of course, that's a year-round average, as my bills are below that in the cooler months... The July-only average is probably around 150-180, not including this year.

You know, I'm not going to waste my time actually analyzing the numbers, since you'll just respond with another  as soon as your argument is dismantled, but why do you even bother quoting that blog? Look at his methodology for "disproving" that the global temperature was above average... * He takes a map image representing an elliptical projection of the Earth, where areas are colored red to dark-red for warming, and blue to dark-blue for cooling... * He takes every red pixel (Regardless of shade) and makes it bright red, then takes every blue pixel and makes it bright blue. * He claims that the warming is false because there are more blue pixels than red pixels. Is there some sort of learning disorder or virus that prevents someone from understanding the concept of an arithmetic mean?

Noes! Global warming isn't true because our blind allegiance to semantics let us claim that everything should be teh warmzed. Or you could get the fucking point in use of the phrase climate change/shift focusing on more extreme weather, which your map would actually support as areas are noticeably straying from the norms in both directions. Looking at my fucking thermometer isn't only seeing what I want to. It's seeing, fuck, it's hot here. Which hit a significant portion of the US at least. Do you have a nice analysis of an argument against the actual science being proposed now? Or are you going to sit here and talk about yearly global averages like they're what anyone is concerned with? Two things about weather patterns, they are not uniform(obviously), and change in one pattern can have massive and difficult to anticipate changes on others due to the sheer number of factors involved.

NASA[^] Now, you can believe whatever you want, you can reply whatever you want, you can say whatever you want, but there's evidence, of not, explain why where I live have seen the hottest summer ever?, temp reaching 105 degrees, here is common to get during July around 5 inches of rain, this year was less than 3, August means around 6 to 7 inches, so far, just 1 so far, still 10 days to go, but I can tell you, it doesn't look that good for today at least...

Bah. That extreme weather thing is obviously crap. I mean it isn't like there have been 3 floods that are so extreme that they are seen once a century in the last 20 years... Oh wait. Also, ignore the record heat this summer. We did see snow in Britain, so the hotter weather is a fluke or us lying.

If I have accidentally said something witty, smart, or correct, it is purely by mistake and I apologize for it.

Which one? And don't forget, Britain used to have native elephants, hippos and lions as well as up humans, which implies it was a lot warmer than it is now. Dinosaurs lived at the south pole at least at one period, and there is no evidence they even inverted the Skoda, much less a real car. Possibly the Harley-Davidson. But not real motor vehicles.

Lets look at the point NASA make one by one. The evidence for rapid climate change is compelling: 1) Sea level rise. Yes, it has risen. And has done since the last ice age. And perhaps there is evidence that since 2000 the rise has been at double the rate of the last century. How this is explained by warming when the last 10 years hasnt seen any warming is bizare. 2) Global temperature rise etc. This is very queationable. Jones himself described the post 70's warming period as stastically indifferent to the previous three periods over the last 150 years. Dalys website (what the stations say) shows raw data form around the world. It paints a very different picture. We have also come out of the little ice age, the codest period for 10000 years, over which there is a gradual decline in temperatures. 3) Warming oceans. ditto. 4) Shrinking ice sheets. Antarctic sea ice is gaining in area, and temperatures there have been falling for 70 years. Northen ice sheets will be shrinking because it is warming, although the temperatures today in the US, Arcitc, Greenland, Canada and siberia are not as high as they were in the 1930's. (what the stations say) 5) Declining Arctic sea ice. Note they dont say 'declining antarctic sea ice' because it isnt. In fact global sea ice is constant. 6) Glacial retreat. Some are, some arent. In the 19th century glaciers advanced in Switzerland destroying farms and villages because of the little ice age. We are receovering from that so it is expected that they will shrink. 7) Extreme events. THere is no proof that extreme events are increasing in frequency. 8) Ocean acidification. This is happening, but has nothing to do with warming. Warming and cooling will always happen. And has always happened. Their graph of CO2 does not show the entire picture with CO2 at levels of thousands of PPM because they want to give the impresion that CO2 is responsible for these events whereas in fact there is no evidence at all that CO2 is causing warming. It should, in theory, but for example NASA also said recently that CO2 high in the atmosphere is responsible for cooling. So, is th enet effect of warming at the surface and cooling in the upper laters caneclling each other out and is this why no effect of CO2 can be detected in th etemperature records?

No he doesnt. He is disproving the statement that "The heat wave was a global phenomenon." The statement actually written in bold, so people can see it. People except for you that is, who in your desire to mock something chose to believe h was trying to disprove warming. Tis is typical of you. You dont even read properly, or understand what you are reading. You just fly off on a knee jerk response imagining that you read something in order to make a point.

Sorry, are you now saying that CO2 doesnt cause warming, but causes climate change?

That's one reason I can't take your claims seriously - you are prone to exaggeration.
