So what you're trying to say is, you're fundamentally not very serious about your position?

No. All I know is that having gays in the military undermines the integrity of the military. Adding corrupt elements to the military has detrimental repercussions on our national security.

You could've just said "That's correct - I arrived at my beliefs completely independently of any good reason to do so."

Without good reason? I gave a good reason, it undermines national security. How? Adding corrupt elements undermines integrity by hurting troop moral and debasing moral forthrightness and honor.

No, those are your beliefs, not your evidence for them. Remember evidence, that thing that you don't have?

Do you really expect me to pull up some scientific papers showing the complex social and psychological mechanisms involved in a large military organization? A study that takes into account the vast majority of religious beliefs and moral values of the solders and how attempting to forcefully incorporate what most people deem to be undesirable into their social hierarchy is going to adversely effect national security?

You? No, I do not expect you to do anything like that. In fact, what you wrote is pretty much what I expected of you.

Wishful thinking? Just admit you're hot for me.

Once you agree to clans, tribes, governments...you've opted for socialism. The rest is just details.

I know it is considered very bad form to confuse an issue with facts in the back room, but you may like to know, in support of your argument, about Alexanders the Great's security arrangements. Mégas Aléxandros was certainly one the greatest military leaders and tacticians of history. His top regiment and personal bodyguard, his equivalent of Napoleon's Old Guard, or the British Brigade of Guards, were not only gay, but were chosen because they were gay. At the time, they were the fiercest and most feared force in the empire. His reasoning was that 'no such soldier would show a trace of cowardice in front of his lover'. (It is worth noting at this point, that Alexander went any of three ways, as he was known to be inordinately fond of his horse, Bucephalus!)

You are not an a**hole you are just reasonable. I’m from Bulgaria, I know the gypsies and I hate them. They are NOT people in our sense of the world. Send them back, at least we know how to handle them, feed them, clean after them. We get used to their smell, how to keep your wallet from been stolen in the bus or subway. We get used with the elder people killed for 100 euros in their beds and with the gypsy women throwing their several months old baby on front of the passing cars in order to extort some money from the driver.:mad::mad:
