I was at a mates wedding do in Flanders (northen part of Belgium). Used to work with him in Leuven. Another guy from the old firm was there, and aparently the Belgium politicians, the french speakers and the flemish speakers are discussing breaking up the country. Well, I always thought it wold happen, as did most flems I spoke to, but I didnt think it would happen this fast. I give it a year to finalise the agreement and do the deed, and then its welcome to the poorset cuntry in Europe, AKA Wallonia. Aparently as part of the deal the Waloons are going to sell the eastern part of their region, called the Luxembourg provincem, to Luxembourg the countyr, that borders it. (Names here are a little inbred: There is a Limburg region of Flanders, and a Limbourg region of Holland. Same goes for Brabant, except there is also one in the Walloon part (southern part of Belgium). And if you think Wallonia isnt gong to be poor, let me remind you that its two biggest cities, Charlroi and Liege (literally, KingCharles and Cork) have about 25% unemployment and are full of smack heads. The word 'dump' doesnt even come close to describing them.

What want the people there after all? Northerners are looking to join with Holland and French speaking part with France? Or they are just bored and want some change?

The Flems dont much like the Dutch, think they are arrogant, which is true, and the Dutch thnk the Flems are wimps, which is true. :) The Walloons would love to join with the French, but the French wouldnt have them, they are too poor: As a single country Waloonia would be supported by the whole of the EU, if it joins with France, it'll be down to France to support it.

It looks like the Walloons don’t have many choices and the Flems don’t like their choices. :)

Actually we are a far way from that happening and I don't think it will, although it does seem to become more and more possible. But even if it does, the breaking up won't work neither since these childish politicians can't agree on anything except the fact that they want to fill there own pockets as much as they can. So we are in a what seems to be endless discussion at the moment, all the while the entire country is just laughing at these clowns (since taking them seriously would result in everyone staying home with a depression)

Sadly enough nobody’s not insured against incompetent\corrupted politicians no matter in how nice country he lives.
