Incredible Karyn Finally saved

My name is Karyn, I'm really nice, and I ASKED for your help! :wtf: What on earth! I wonder if the people who supplied credit card details will find rather more than they pledged suddenly dissapearing. If she can't be trusted with her own money, what freaks of nature trusted her with theirs? Colin Davies wrote: just because the stupidity was incredible Thanks for a good laugh! :-D

I agree it's all a bit wrong though. However, kudos to her, surely the first woman to use the Internet to solve her financial worries by taking money from idiots, but without the use of a digital camera. You are the intrepid one, always willing to leap into the fray! A serious character flaw, I might add, but entertaining. Said by Roger Wright about me.
You have to admire her ingenuity. I wish someone would have helped me back when I was up to my head in credit-card debt. Nope, I got to face the awful consequences on my own and if it wouldn't have been for a friend who suggested I go into consulting (for about twice the money), I would have had to file bankruptcy. I can still remember the creditors hassling me... what a nightmare! Regards, Alvaro

I've been through rough patches in business and understand what you are expressing. Consumer Credit Cards are evil in my mind as they influence people to purchase and use funds that they don't have. Every Christmas here people get up to their eyeballs in debt buying people presents that they don't want. The most shocking thing is that so many people don't understand how to now save for something. Often when you csave for something you find when you have the money put together that you don't actually want it anymore. :-) Regardz Colin J Davies

This is all funny and haha but look at what lies underneath it... the same irresponsible disease which is spreading through our youth. She took no responsibility, learnt nothing, and will be back in debt within the year, mark my words. You at least had to face it. She faced nothing but a rising PayPal account. You did not just reverse your debt, you reversed the habit inside you. Hers is still there. Anyway, just wanted to say that :)

I recently bought a laser printer, and took it over 12 months interest free. Here, it is all too common. Shops are allowed to throw credit at people who cannot afford it. The people who do the interest free have 30% interest when the period ends, and on $1700 their monthly repayment was $52 first month ( I only paid $100 ) and $47.50 the next. Then when the time comes to pay the balance, they send you a letter offering to consolidate all your other loans, refinance this one, and lend you more. Most people don't seem to realise their credit card is at 12% and happily accept the offer to pay it off at 30%. Then they don't cut it up, and before you know it, they start a web site so other people will pay their debts ( thus bringing me back on topic :-) ) Christian No offense, but I don't really want to encourage the creation of another VB developer. - Larry Antram 22 Oct 2002 Hey, at least Logo had, at it's inception, a mechanical turtle. I'm trying to do something similar, but on a much smaller scale (basically trying to get people to send me money so I can buy my housemate a bike, so he can cycle to work rather than getting me to give him lifts all the time!) Clickety[^] -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

Paul Watson wrote: This is all funny and haha but look at what lies underneath it... the same irresponsible disease which is spreading through our youth. I suppose, but it has brought the issue out into the light, yet again. Paul Watson wrote: She took no responsibility, learnt nothing, and will be back in debt within the year, mark my words. Well I sure hope not, for her sake and the sake of those who sent her money. I actually do believe she took responsibility: she found a way to get out of debt. The way I see it, there are two ways of being responsible in this case: 1. Don't get into debt in the first place -- she didn't do that one. 2. If you get into debt, find a way to pay it back. -- she did that. The irresponsible route would have been to get into debt and then just file for bankruptcy. The reason I admire her ingenuity is because she found a way to collect money (for her debts) without having to sell a damn thing. Regards, Alvaro
