I think it'll be a nice to have if the site provides some kind of networking tools for users. There are more than 10,000 developers in the company I work for and am sure a lot of them will be members here and a few hundreds may even be active members. I wanted to search users who have mentioned their employer but that's not possible. I'm sure people who want a professional network will go to LinkedIn or similar, but if there's a way to let users link to each other based on employer or location or specialization, that will help, Technical networking, for lack of a better term. I don't know about other employers, but in mine, though we have internal messengers, blogs, wikis etc, there's no real place to congregate online and discuss technology.

You can create a group account and have members join that group. The group then has its own discussion board. You can also search the discussion boards for mentions of your company - just use the search box at the top right.
