I suggest a colour coding system for the various degrees of paranoia in the the lounge/back room: Puce --> Lilac--> Lavendar --> Palatinate --> Purple --> Indigo. Code puce being the least paranoid and code indigo being this[^].

Sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Dilbert.[^]

That's strange, I don't feel paranoid. I certainly don't feel safe when lying manipulative control-freaks get into power. Don't forget that the power we have allowed these psychopaths to have, they have the control grid down to a science. A few signatures here and there, change the interest rates, send the signal to this foundation and that corporation, with a heavy dose of high-tech surveillance with a little bit of x-rays and H1N1 and, and a few staged terror attacks and you have yourself utmost domination. There are people who like to take risks and feel powerful and in control, if the risk and challenge is high and the reward is high, that releases dopamine in the brain. Imagine how they felt when they robbed generations of Americans out of trillions of dollars and just gave it to the banks and insurance companies. Imagine the twisted pleasure Obama feels when he is signing American's into extreme poverty and servitude.

Well, you wouldn't, would you? Otherwise you wouldn't be paranoid. Symptoms of Paranoia The main symptom is permanent delusion. It should be kept in mind that there is delusion in schizophrenia also but in that case it is not permanent or organized. In paranoia the symptoms of delusion appear gradually, and the patient is sentimental, suspicious, irritable, introverted, depressed, obstinate, jealous, selfish, unsocial and bitter. Hence his social and family adjustment is not desirable, and while he has the highest desirable, the effort that he is prepared to expend is correspondingly little. Here the person does not acknowledge his own failures or faults, and by sometimes accepting certain qualities as belonging to himself, even when imaginary, he develops paranoia. The "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders", fourth edition (DSM-IV), the US manual of the mental health professional; lists the following symptoms for paranoid personality disorder: preoccupied with unsupported doubts about friends or associates suspicious; unfounded suspicions; believes others are plotting against him/her perceives attacks on his/her reputation that are not clear to others, and is quick to counterattack maintains unfounded suspicions regarding the fidelity of a spouse or significant other reads negative meanings into innocuous remarks reluctant to confide in others due to a fear that information may be used against him/her Paranoia[^]

But you were born into a country run by "lying manipulative control-freaks". To my sure knowledge, every president from JFK to Obama has been a "lying manipulative control-freak", and over that period Congress has been run by "lying manipulative control-freaks". The problem appears to be that the electorate has long accepted Antisocial Personality Disorder as a desirable trait in their politicians.

Thanks for stating the obvious. It is when those emotions are exhibited without reason that paranoia is indicated.

Please, oh please don't suggest this. There is only one country with tolerance for this type of fool, and that is Canada. We have enough of them already.

Don't worry. I am sure the contempt he expresses for every country outside the US of A extends equally to Canada.

Thanks for stating the obvious. It is when those emotions are exhibited without reason that paranoia is indicated.

Obviously your paranoia would lead you to that conclusion. "Like a circle in a spiral, Like a wheel within a wheel; Never ending or beginning On an ever spinning reel ..." Another turn round the block?
