so far the Euro hasn't shown to be good a idea, only this year, Greece and Portugal are in trouble for trying to keep up with other nations like the UK, Germany, etc. At this rate, many other countries joining the EU will have the same problems in the upcoming years, already rumors of Spain doing the same are floating around. Today's economics aren't that easy to understand and is a subject that needs to be explained by people that actually knows about it and not Captain Sharp Semen or any of us that whatever we know is what we read in the internet. It will be very interesting to hear it from someone that have dedicated his life to study the subject. About the dollar dying... I hardly doubt it at this moment or in the next years, it will happen if the USA doesn't start doing something about the debt that is increasing every second -> US Debt Clock, but like I said, I can't talk too much, whatever I know is what I read in wikipedia

The Eurozone may yet tide over the crisis, but fats isn't asking about the Euro specifically, he's asking about a non-USD currency. Replacing the USD with a single other currency isn't going to be a spectacular idea anyway, which is why there is talk about trading oil in a basket of currencies - almost certainly the USD, EUR, and JPY, presumably CNY, AUD and CAD?

No problem me, I had to read about Spain to be honest :-D It seems an interesting one with Spain and Portugal I bet its something similar to the UK and Ireland. As Ireland is one of UK's top 5 export locations so we as a country can't afford for them to go under. Portugal denies pressure EU partners euro bailout[^]

I know it's all my fault, I've been trying to learn from ubber CSS, but I find it hard to go that way and find the truth, those sites that have lots and lot of links to facts, investigations, books, quotes, news, etc etc are more attractive to me than random youtube videos, but maybe one day I will see the light.

wow what a mature reply (not) all you are missing is the 'na-na-boo-sucks' and 'iam going to tell my mommy' if the dollar colapses it will not force me into a fema camp as this would a US thing and i dont live in the US, it is a good job I know a few other americans because if I only had you to base an opinion on it would seem that the US is the ideal location for a country wide enema. I have always treated youtube as an online version of the national inquirer, amusing but not something to base a life on.
