They were already doing to a lot to prevent them, and all of it is stupid. The money belongs to the people, not to the bank. If they want it back and you're trying to stop them, you're stealing their money! But of course the government doesn't give a shït about the people (as usual) and cares a lot more about their precious corrupt banks. They're even using the late DSB bank as an example - it was killed by a bank run sure enough, but don't you dare feel sorry for them. They were a bank that used multiple names to give the impression of competition, while they were actually all subdivision of 1 bank so they couldn't be sued for price fixing. And instead of making dirty tricks like that illegal, the govt moves to make inciting a bank run illegal. So now you can't even warn people that a bank is about to die and that they should get their money back asap - that would be inciting a bank run. Jan Kees de Jager (he's the one doing this), I hate you. I hope you lose all your savings to a collapsing bank.

Concern for others? Are you not feeling well? :)

Oops, small mistake. Oh well, I'll cover it up by saying that I'd be one of those people, so it's really just concern for myself - or more accurately, my money.

Used to be, way back when, when you opened an account with a bank your agreement said you couldn't take more than X amount out or close your account without providing notification in advance. Banks don't do that anymore? I haven't paid attention.

It depends on what kind of account you open and at which bank etc

Ah. Well, just my ho . . . Start again... Well, just my humble opinion, but I think any bank which doesn't do something like that from the get-go is run by idiots. Likewise airlines that overbook flights. (Same principle, but completely different.)

I guessing that Harold is really a big softy under the hood. And he's probably wearing a fuzzy red hat.

                          I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

You go ahead and indulge in whatever ranking turns your little self on, boy. I have better things to do. You would, too, if you had a job. How's that going? I'm a student, you dick. I don't have to work. I get money from the govt. Your minuscule intellect is apparently not even capable of grasping the concept of an internet war, even though you obviously challenged me to one. Ooh you have a "job" - feeling important now eh? At least you were smart enough to provide a false email address or at least not reply. I guess that's something. Still I think you would benefit from a bullet to the head.

OK. You got me on that... "I'm guessing" is what is should be. This is why I have QA's go over my work. Never proofread your own stuff is the moral.

                                          I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.
