It's not exactly a request we get everyday, though we will always abide by an author's wishes. Is there something we've done wrong, or not done well enough? If there's an issue we'll certainly do whatever we can to fix the problem.

No, not at all... I think my articles may all be somewhat dated at this point. I was considering pulling some of them off the site when I noticed there wasn't a way to do that.

What you consider dated, and what the dev stuck using Visual Studio 2003, or VB6 considers dated are two very different things. I strongly encourage old articles to stay. We're not all bleeding edge, and even if an article is old, the techniques are often timeless.

I have stuff on here that's 10 years old. I wouldn't worry about your stuff being dated.

Hey Martin, I went through your article list to see if I could pick out what you would consider dated. I work in a company that has legacy code going from old vb6 COMs to dotNet4 encompassing every version of studio along the way. Your articles are far from outdated as resources on the older technologies becomes harder and harder to find, so I would agree with Chris that the relevance for your articles is still there. Cheers

Most of us who've been here for a while have older articles that are now obsolete. I don't think they need to be deleted. Otherwise we'd only always have articles from the last 2 years.

Any article can come in handy. People are always working on all kinds of 'old' technology. I would request you to let your articles stay (unless you absolutely dont want them to be around).

Just to add my tuppence worth: Sometimes the older articles are the most useful - because when you have a problem there are very few people still using the technology to ask for help...
Real men don't use instructions. They are only the manufacturers opinion on how to put the thing together.
