I consider this a Code-Red, Klaxon Screaming, Show Stopping bug. My settings show me as an "Associate Member" with a cool badge: http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/4779/regioncapture1q.png[^] However I'm displayed with a dull drab member badge: http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/6396/regioncapture2.png[^]

I think all other work on the site should be stopped until this situation has been resolved. I see this as slightly worse than the recent exhaustion of available IPV4 addresses... I'm sure we can find a reason that global warming caused this problem.

Request them to give you your money back! :)
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it. My latest tip/trick

I think this may be the result of having a rather dull & drab avatar on your home page. :(
I must get a clever new signature for 2011.

I read that a little too fast, and thought you said "Vibrator"...

OK, but how does it rate in comparison, say, to a problem with rep points?
Best wishes, Hans

I'd have to say reputation points are THE most important part of the whole site. More specifically, *MY* reputation points are more important. :)

I've gathered together a crack fact finding team that organised several committees. The consultants engaged on behalf of the committees to investigate this issue liased with several industry experts and agreed, after several further meetings, many of which extended into the dinner hour and so, understandably, incurred certain related expenses, that yes, your icon in the forums is not the associate icon. This is by design. We never had the chance to expand the associate program in the way we planned so until that point it will be a profile-only badge.
