Here are some pointers: 1)Check power. 2)Check connection. 3)Make sure Dad has WinXP so you can use remote assistance. 4)Go to Windows Update for newest version of driver compatible with WinXP. 5)Reboot. 6)Pray. 7)Watch Movie. :) Hope that helps. You really need to verify number 3 and make sure you do it.

Instead of ranting, moaning and bitching I thought I would give a big thumbs up to USB which just rocks! Pinched a co-workers webcam from his desk (we are monitoring him to make sure he is not running some kind of pron webcam site after hours... ) and plugged it into my box, but without much hope. I mean, no webcam has ever been near my box and this particular webcam is pretty new, so no hope it is going to work... Suddenly the USB "new hardware found" icon appears, the PC thinks a bit and voila, a new window opens with my ugly mug splashed all over it. So it works... USB rocks!

Why -RW and not +RW ? I'm in the market and so far I've been told only that +Rw is the way to go, from +RW owners. Christian No offense, but I don't really want to encourage the creation of another VB developer. - Larry Antram 22 Oct 2002 Hey, at least Logo had, at it's inception, a mechanical turtle. Why not just install it when he's out of the room and then just give yourself an account on his box that lets you remote into it. That way he wouldn't know.:-D

i agree. i found my keychain drive this morning, plugged it into my USB hub along with the ZIP drive, the printer and the scanner. Win2K said "hey, nice drive!" and showed me the stuff. ahh. on the other hand... it took me 6 tries to get VC6 re-installed. -c

Yeah, we want a big grin, close-ups of any receeding hairline, preferably also in black & white though so we don't all get too jealous of that Capetonian sun tan :-D

USB rocks!
