They've only gone and taken the payment for December off my credit card on the 25th November despite me terminating the contract and getting confirmation a week earlier! Tomorrow morning 9 am I'll be calling in a theft on my credit card. I'll wait for their lawyers to send the inevitable "we will take legal action" letter and then reply with their confirmation of intent for termination of my contract before the next billing period, as dated and signed by a person (not a robot). I don't give an ounce of rotting monkey excrement if they get to keep my £17 or not - but I'll be damned if I'll let the get away with it without putting up the kind of fight I and thousands of their other service subscribers had to daily. I would have thought that of all their service failures the one part they'd get right - and indeed have gotten very used to recently - would be people terminating their contracts. BTo have seen a mass extinction of contracts these past few months on a scale to put Noah and his ark to shame. As far as I am concerned they commited deliberate theft on the 25th. If automated systems were in place to take payments then they plenty of working business days to terminate them: my contract was for them to take payments out "on or shortly after the 25th of each month in advance", not to instansiate them one week in advance. If you think I am being unfair by not having this sorted reasonably, you haven't experienced BTo, and for that you should be immensly grateful. You want to criple Iraq? Swap telcos with them. BTo - suck this: ** David pulls down his trousers and slaps his bottom, causing his frontal apendage to wave violently whilst making stereotypical George Bush giggling noises as heard on 2DTV ** ...and when they do I might just learn incontinence. :~

Surely there must be something you feel strongly about, David! Try hard, now - you can think of something!:-D "How many times do I have to flush before you go away?" - Megan Forbes, on Management (12/5/2002)

David + BTOpenworld = Rant^10 ah I missed Davids wee rants over BTOpenworld - I wonder if there is anything we can do to make the pain last... longer.

Technically speaking the dictionary would define Visual Basic users as programmers.
But here again, a very generalized, liberal definition is being employed and it's wrong

Since you cancelled the service they are making sure they provide you with the worst customer service, even though you aren't a customer anymore. After all that is their motto, Give the worst customer service, even if they arent' customers. :) -:suss:Matt Newman / Windows XP Activist:suss:
