    Trojen virus found in this link Creating Client/Server Application using Winsock[^] I downloded and unziped and found trojen virus alert. I have McAfee in my machine. Regards Raveendrababu

        I'm still running McAfee, need some time to finally toss it out. The demo zip holds two files: client1.exe extracts just fine, extracting server.exe yields a "Trojan detected; removed; no further action required" window and NO file extraction (so the "removed" applies to the whole exe file!). I can't tell this is a true or a false positive. I haven't looked at the larger ZIP. :)

          Most likely a false alert, Sean. One of the exes in that article is a listening socket server which is the trademark of a trojan, so most anti-viruses would think it's a malicious binary unless it's signed or otherwise authenticated.
