Mike Mullikin wrote: and you Brit's complain about American television??? Unforunately we too are getting a small share of this type of programme here in Britian, but by and large this sensationalist crap ("thought provoking" my arse) goes unwatched. The autopsy programme for example was a massive failure. Without yet reading the article in question I would make the assumption that this is either the work of Channel 4 or Channel 5 - the BBC are public service broadcasters and would never be allowed to show such a thing, and even ITV have some degree of sense albiet no actual programmes worth watching.

One small village of indomitable geeks still holds out against the invaders. And life is not easy for the managers legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Microsoftum, Javum, Ceplumplum and Vebasum

I actually think that the US is producing its best TV shows EVER at the moment - NOTHING can touch The Sopranos for example - certainly no home-grown UK drama comes even close (and even though I'm not into them, all I've heard is good things about The West Wing, Six Feet Under, etc.). Sadly, UK TV is on the decline - it's being dumbed-down faster than you would believe... :(

Excellent! Veal is so expensive nowadays, and I have lots of neighbours. -- Only in a world this shitty could you even try to say these were innocent people and keep a straight face.

...and don't forget "Malcolm in the Middle". Best US series for ages, sort of like a live-action Simpsons but better. The mum (sorry, mom) is just awesome! I've just got the R1 DVD boxed set - highly recommended :) "The folly of man is that he dreams of what he can never achieve rather than dream of what he can."
