Oh put away the pitch forks, of course I am being dramatic with the title. I had a good chuckle over this story though: Jesus, and Christians, used cannabis[^] Though the last statement (about anti-pot being anti-Christ) is just a dof thing to say. It took only 6 days (damn, should have waited for tomorrow and then it would have been 7, a significant number!) to find a controversial religious story.

In the Bible, the number six is significant of man in sin. :-O:-D:rose: Christian No offense, but I don't really want to encourage the creation of another VB developer. - Larry Antram 22 Oct 2002
C# will attract all comers, where VB is for IT Journalists and managers - Michael P Butler 05-12-2002
Again, you can screw up a C/C++ program just as easily as a VB program. OK, maybe not as easily, but it's certainly doable. - Jamie Nordmeyer - 15-Nov-2002

I'm not sure how one concludes that cannabis is the agent behind the curing of blindness(from birth) and leprosy. Even modern medicines don't make claims of this level.

I think Rastafarians consider marijuana as a "holy" plant, they proclaim it's clearly written in the Bible. Yeah Man! Did you ever seen somebody become violent after using cannabis? With pot, Peace on Earth! :-D Seriously, the only reason cannabis is considered as a drug by western countries is they weren't historical producers. Look at alcohol and tobacoo, they are at least as dangerous (and IMHO much more), but they are perfectly legal.

Oh my. That's just utter horsecrap. Btw, most christians believe Jesus healed by his power given by the Father and the oil really had nothing to do with it. <sarcasm>But if it will help legalize drugs then lets publish it in all the papers!</sarcasm>

This was what Jesus refered too when he said Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. Not in this life or the world to come. People were accusing him of using satanic power to perform his miracles. I shudder when I read things like that.

Yeah, I don't remember him using oil either, but they did in the OT and to think it was oil that healed people is absurd for a christian. The oil, the clay and spit, etc. were all forms of anointment but it wasn't the anointing substance that performed any miracle. Kevnar wrote: I shudder when I read things like that. I think you're probably right. That is the only unforgivable sin.

Knowing some scandinavian TV commercials, I would say you have not the same definition of Sin that could have an anglo-saxon :-D
