Well, I am back in the land of high speed internet connections - and am finding it looks quite beautiful when covered in a blanket of white. So much for the landlord's assurances that it never snows around here. On the subject of snow - it turns out you actually have to grow up around the stuff to know how to build a decent snowman - between 3 South Africans we have managed to construct a short triangular monstrosity in the communal garden. Now the neighbours know for sure we are crazy :-D I was delighted to find on landing this morning that despite being sad about leaving home, I am happy to be back in the UK for another year or so - providing I take a trip to the bush at least once every 11 months! Anyway - a belated happy new year to everyone! :)

I knew it would end badly when I first met Chris in a Canberra alleyway and he said 'try some-it won't hurt you'... -Christian Graus on Code Project outages His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a tumble dryer. It hurt the way your tongue hurts after you accidentally staple it to he wall**-Shaun Wilde**

My boss is contemplating fitting chains to his scooters tyres, he says it is no fun driving on snow on a wobbly scooter in the freezing cold :-D

Welcome back Megan :) Don't worry, snowmen are boring anyway - the whole point of snow is throwing snowballs at unsuspecting neighbors, or leaving them stuck above their doorways. Don't forget, a bit of water makes them much harder and therefore more effective. ;)

Welcome back! It's been snowing here in Rhode Island as well. And Happy New Year! I took the first real vacation (not doing any work that generates income) in many years and ended up posting something like four articles on CP in one week! I got to PLAY. And yes, I paid lots of attention to my family too! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

With the finger it's much less funny :) I think any little boy who has known snow has tried this kind of signature at least once. We are generally very playful :-D
