Today my Hotmail password was hacked  The really strange thing is, whoever did this had no interest in any of my emails, or anything else. The just wanted to sign into messenger as me   Why I don't know. Anyway, I have obviously changed my password (fortunately they didn't do that before I noticed that I kept getting signed out of messenger as I had just signed in elsewhere.) My husband didnt notice that this person had tried to strike up a conversation with him until it was too late, but if any of you had a wierd conversation with "me" today - I hope "I" wasn't insulting.:mad::mad:

They carefully reset the machines to the lowest settings, offer to spot for each other on the 5 lb dumbells, and rediscover the art of macrame while attempting to jump rope. -Roger Wright on my colleagues and I going to gym each day at lunch

So the little menage a' trois we discussed earlier is probably a no go?:( Nobody wants to read a diary by someone who has not seen the shadow of Bubba on the prison shower wall in front of them!

I'm feeling all left out here :| Ahh, I just noticed you used your hotmail addr when you joined my forum :) Is it ok if I add you tonight? (It'd be nice to have a few CPians amongst my contacts) Out of interest, have you worked out if the hacker is a random person, or if it was someone who actually knows you (in the latter case, it may just be a friend having a joke with you, as they didn't touch your email or change your password) Was your old password the kind of thing that someone who knew you well would be able to guess? -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

Yeah - that'd be cool  benjymous wrote: Was your old password the kind of thing that someone who knew you well would be able to guess? Unlikely - I use random letters which can be pronounced into a word for easy remembering. Also, I usually interject a couple of the letters with similar looking numbers. Usually at least 9 characters in length too. This makes me think it makes more sense that it would be someone who knew me, otherwise it was a lot of effort for nothing. On the other hand, I really don't know who

(or on a public netcafe computer, for example) - it could be that they've got MSN running in the background, and have no idea it's still signing on as you (or was doing, till you changed your password) -- Help me! Messenger is banned here too, but IT don't enforce it on my team. We're in their good books. :) I'm signed in most evenings...Messenger is how I keep in touch with the friends (not all UK based) I've met since I started my journey. :) Anna :rose: www.annasplace.me.uk
