what are hidden links??

there are a lot of ways to hide links but there's only 2 major approaches: by means of css and by means of cloaking (showing links only for google bots)

If SEO is your goal then hiding links is one of the worst things to do and will get your site penalized into oblivion. The only valid reason for hiding links is when you have links in flash or image maps, as some bots don't parse these correct. This usage will also not have heavy penalties.

I'm not sure if this is the same thing but in 'the old days' some web site owners would add lots of Anchor Text (links) including their keywords and hide them from humans (by using say white text on a white background) so search engine spiders could see them but they weren't viewable on the page. - Happy Coding - Vishal Vashishta
