Here's an ad for Toyota [^]in Australia. Bugger is a word that has many meanings. It's the context that is important. Just like the word 'bastard' which can be used in so many ways. anger: You bastard difficulty: It's a bit of a bastard to get done friendship: How're ya goin' ya ugly bastard? intelligence: He's a smart bastard plural : What are you bastards up to? It goes on and on (and on...) cheers, Chris Maunder

Hmm, I'm guessing as one of them says "phew, bugger me" that it implies that you do indeed take the same meaning as I would. Maybe it's just considered less offensive over there, or something (though again, it's context - someone saying "bugger me" to a child would be totally different) -- Help me! I didn't know that but it strikes me that the perfect answer is Guinness. Try "going on a bender" after a few pints and you'll see what I mean! After that, all they'll be good for is pizza and kebabs... ;) Anna :rose: www.annasplace.me.uk
