This is a very recent problem: when one enters the text for the solution in the Questions & Answers forum, a well known message appears:

    CodeProject says:

    When answering a question please:

    1. Read the question carefully.
      2. Understand that English isn't everyone's first language so be lenient of bad spelling and grammar.
      …

This thing is very sticky: it goes above the text area and prevents seeing the text being typed. I had to do line breaks and spend an extra edition session to fix the formatting. It would be the best to fix this problem as soon as possible. I don't mind having these instructions every time as soon as I could hide them or at least shift aside. Using the occasion, I would like to say that I really appreciate the improvements of the presentation style, even though some functional behavior is questionable, especially around voting and something like that. I hope all the minor glitches and annoyances will be smoothed pretty soon as it happened before. I think the style changes certainly change the site in right direction. I especially appreciate better fonts and typography in general. Thank you,

I had this happen too, and it was very annoying. I was also bothered by the fact that my text didn't wrap inside the textbox. It let me type much further to the right and then I couldn't see my text unless I put my cursor back on that line and used an arrow key to move over to see it. It might have been because I pasted a link in the solution...I didn't notice the textwrap issue until after I had pasted a link.

Is this when you're posting a solution inline, or when you're posting using a separate page? Also, which browser?

Sorry if it was not clear enough. This happens when I load the Q & A forum page with the question, and them try to type an answer using "Add your solution here". It's enough to navigate or just scroll to the answer text area to see it. (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Mozilla SeaMonkey 2.12.1.)

Strange thing, SAK, I am never seeing this sticky, no matter what I do in the QA Forums: don't see it when I start typing a solution answer; don't see it when I add a comment. I'm using Chrome Version 23.0.1271.1 dev-m best, Bill

The sticky instructions being permanently visible is an issue with IE8. (yes, I know, but I am at work and they have a hardened lockdown desktop. It makes me :(( )

This is happening with me too. A message appears "How to answer the question" when we start typing answer in Q/A section and does not disappear until answer is submitted. I also have a screenshot of the bug, let me know if I need to post it here. Following is the browser detail: Browser: IE 8, Windows 7.

                Thanks & Regards, Vani Kulkarni

I'm also getting it with Chrome 21.0.1180.89 - it means you have to type in small amounts per line then delete the line breaks to make the text work as a solution (particularly if you rely on teh speel chekkar as much as I do). :-D

Thank you for this information, Bill. Well, it can be different on different systems. A particular browser layout engine with a particular screen size might make some difference. Anyway, as in same cases this sticky thing blocks the view of the text area, it should be fixed. Please see the reports of other members who could see the problem on their systems. Usually, this is not a big deal. I believe it will be done, as the site is being generally improved.
