Ok, I am studying for my management test and when I turned the page this really got to me. Please read the following definitions out of the book: masculinity - A cultural preference for achievement, heroism, assertiveness, work centrality, and material success. femininity - A cultural preference for cooperation, group decision making, and quality of life. I understand that certain industries like to share words that have different meanings, however I think this is a tad bit overboard. My personal opinion was that someone got a little lazy when they were given the position of labeling meanings. Oh well, off to study for this damn test. X|

That's in what context: someone attempting to classify particular (management) traits according to gender? Sounds very contrived to me. Maybe they put it in there to stir a bit of controversy. Debbie

Do you really and honestly think you're a good judge of masculine vs feminine, Andy? John - you may disagree with my choices in life, but you could at least have the decency to call me by my chosen name. Sadly, it seems even that is asking too much of you. Anna :rose: www.annasplace.me.uk
