Why is the ICC pandering to the corrupt and evil regime of Mugabe? Why are the England players the only ones who will stand up and say "No! - We will not give credibility to a guy who is starving his own country" ? Why is cricket more concerned with the financial aspect rather than the morality of the situation? Why do I care? England would have gotten beat anyway ;-) Michael Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman. If this was football, then FIFA would have taken one look and said "We are moving the match". It's about the only saving grace of the football governing body, they'll never allow a player to be put at risk. Michael Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman. The ICC sucks, remember how they said players should not be on Ads for companies that are competitors of tournament sponsors. Nish

I think that the ICC's stand is that it not being a political outfit, won't take a stand on this issue. And once the venues are decided, they'll have to stay. Changing them at the whim (justified or not) of teams would set a very bad precedent IMO.

I really wonder how FIFA would have handled it if SA had of won their last bid for the world cup. Regardz Colin J Davies

It was big news here, because the deciding vote was handled by the Oceania delegate, Charlie Dempsey from NZ. Apparently he thought that the process was corrupted in some form and decided not to vote at all. Which basically meant Germany took it. Now what is wonderful is that the Oceania group can now actually get a position in the World Cup, where before it was a near impossible mission. A reward maybe? Regardz Colin J Davies
