Madrid is located in the central plateau but it's not like the US great plains. There are still plenty of mountain ranges around it (Ibérico, Albarrancín, Guadarrama and Gredos). I always found the center of Madrid hot dusty and smelling of fumes. (Maybe its changed) The only downside to Grenoble is its location I guess. (France) But they do have a rugby team so that is a redeeming feature I guess. Regardz Colin J Davies

I have never been to Grenoble, but I can asure you that Spain is great (Well, maybe my opinion is a little biased but...). Besides, is you already know Grenoble, you should try a new place. And you won´t have any special problem with your dogs, as long as you have all the papers and vaccines. Silver at last!!
