I love rating, for me it's one of the reasons to improve or to submit an article. I read some laments about unjustified low ratings, and I'm a victim too :(( I'd like to advance this solution: Only Silver, Gold and Platinum members can rate an article Because: 1) as in real communities, only majors can vote. 2) the most voted article has only 418 votes, despite the 250000 members, so this will not affect the ammount of votes 3) no one can create a fake account just to pull down an article or to rise his own ratings. Best Regards Davide Pizzolato

Here are the results (a couple of weeks old)

          Level Average
          Platinum 3.0
          Gold 3.4
          Silver 3.6
          Bronze 3.8

It just shows that the higher level a member is, the more fussy they are. The spread isn't that much though so all it says is 'on average people vote about 3.5'

Uhm, these stats are the average for all articles, right? Perhaps it would make more interesting reading if it was per individual article, but that would prolly require a lot of SQL server load eh? Nish
