I really don't understand why some people see everything as a personal problem. The German / French government as well as their population disagrees with the US' governments opinion on how to handle the war issue. But that doesn't mean that we've any problem with US American citizens. So why does that Danish man think that he's to punish us by banning us from visiting his restaurant? What's about all the Danish people that don't agree with the agreement of their government? Are they going to be banned, too? I fear they aren't. This makes me really sad.

This story is ridiculous, the man is serving pizzas on an island with a population of about a hundred people. This island, and very likely himself, is depending economically on the German tourists, so he is going to be a very unpopular man. Schlaubi wrote: What's about all the Danish people that don't agree with the agreement of their government? Are they going to be banned, too? I fear they aren't. More than half of the danish people disagree with the government, so I guess he will soon be out of customers. Wouldn't you be shocked if a shopkeeper refused to serve jews, or black people?

I do not think the corollary to being a racist (being unacceptable to society in general) vs an individual making a political statement is correct in this case. "I will find a new sig someday."

No, that is not a difference. We allow political statements but object to racial ones. To me this was just a personal political statement. "I will find a new sig someday."
