I dislike Saddam, he proved himself as not being a man of honor, in the past. But i noticed, sadly, that he is now more articulated in his speech then his american counterpart. I don't know if this interview will have any consequence at all  About the journalist: he definitely has more teeth then is necesary :| rechi

I think its interesting that Ramsey Clark was the person who aranged the interview.... You know the guy who thinks the US is guilty of war crimes? Dan Rather hates the Bush family and has since him and Bush 1 had a n on air arguement about 10 or 11 years ago. Considering the interviewer and the interviewee ...... The whole thing stinks. Uptight Ex-Military Republican married to a Commie Lib - How weird is that?

I don't see the interest of such an interview, except sensationalism.

It is just a TV show; does not have any impact. Public opinion matters only in a democracy. But, who is Saddam to give a lecture on fair play anyway? My article on a reference-counted smart pointer that supports polymorphic objects and raw pointers

I met Dan Rather once, and was very impressed with his thoughtfulness and his love for his country and the American people. If he has issues with Bush et al, I think he would have really good reasons. Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

That may be, my only problem with the man is that in his position as a reporter, he sometimes has given me the impreion as being very biased ... Thats unfortuanate in my opinion because CBS has alway had an excellent tradition in journalism. On the other hand my impression of him as a journalist doen't reflect on my opinions of his patriotism or his love for thi country.
