yeah but did you talk with any of them before the election? The rich conserviative republicans i know (ok that's not very many... ok it's three! ) were certain that Bush would be better for the economy than Gore. the media should use recorded statements of politicians to point out how "wrong" they were 1 or 2 years ago when they predicted the future!! Hell you have to watch the Daily Show to ever see that information and then it's reduced to "comedy". It's NOT funny!! (ok it's really funny) It's valuable information that most people never see/hear or pay any attention to. That's the theory. The Republican assumption is that it's going to be a quick and clean war. Never mind the Turks, the Kurds, the fact that Iran is probably going to try and snag a slice of Iraq, and the political and environmental cleanup that's going to have to occur. I have been in favor of going to war with the entire damned middle east since 9/11. I have never bought into the notion that Islam is a peaceful religion. It isn't.
