Great game! I managed to snuff about 14 of those nasty little beavers before they ganged up on me. Or were those killer harp seals? It is ok for women not to like sports, so long as they nod in the right places and bring beers at the right times.

You wasted a whole new thread to say stop with the cricket? :-D We have moved to the Soapbox, I feel that is sufficient. Now please relax, take a deep breath and ignore any posts with the word "Cricket" in their titles. Very simple.

DON'T STOP! WE LOVE CRICKET POSTS! THEY ARE EASY TO SPOT - MUCH EASIER THAN THOSE DECEPTIVE POSTS WITH SUBJECTS THAT GIVE NO CLUE TO THE LEVEL OF BOREDOM CONTAINED WITHIN. I look at them occasionally, more often skip them, but I'm glad to see members with diverse interests sharing their hobbies with others interested in the same subjects. I'll be glad when the season is over, but no more delighted than I am when the soccer, baseball, football, basketball, rugby, or hockey seasons end. I'm not prejudiced - I'm bored equally by them all. But watch out when ESPN starts showing darts matches on TV - then it will be my turn!:-D It is ok for women not to like sports, so long as they nod in the right places and bring beers at the right times.

I still have flashbacks to 1996 when the european football was on in the UK. Even the gay pubs had big screens ! The only place which didn't was Weatherspoons and they were crowded out :(( Elaine (sport free zone) The tigress is here :-D

YOU CAN IGNORE ALL THE CRICKET POSTS. BECAUSE THEY ARE CLEARLY MARKED. ALL THE CRICKET POSTS HAVE "CRICKET" IN THE SUBJECT LINE. THAT MAKES THEM EASY TO IDENTIFY, DOESN'T IT? NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ THEM, RIGHT? WE GAVE IN TO YOUR DEMAND OF PUTTING ALL THE CRICKET RELATED POSTS IN THE SOAPBOX, EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T THINK THERE WAS ANY REASON TO DO SO. BUT WE DID IT OUT OF CONSIDERATION FOR YOU GUYS. NOW YOU WANT US TO STOP. WELL, ALL THE CRICKET HATERS CAN KISS MY ASS FOR ALL I CARE. I WON'T STOP. THE LOUNGE, AS SOMEONE POINTED OUT TODAY, IS RATED PG. DO NOT POST SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T WANT YOUR KID SISTER TO READ. WELL, IF I HAD A KID SISTER, OR A SISTER FOR THAT MATTER, I WOULD HAVE LIKED HER TO READ ALL THE CRICKET POSTS, AND MORE. PISS ME OFF A BIT MORE, AND I WILL MOVE BACK TO THE LOUNGE WITH ALL MY CRICKET POSTS, I PROMISE YOU. WHY BOTHER WHEN YOU GET FLAMED NO MATTER WHERE YOU POST IT AND IN SPITE OF WHATEVER CONSIDERATION YOU SHOW FOR OTHERS? OTHERS WON'T SHOW ANY CONSIDERATION FOR US, SO WHY SHOULD I? I AM NOT TOO FOND OF POSTS TELLING ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING TO SOMEBODY'S LATEST LAPTOP/CAR, WHAT SOMEONE FEELS ABOUT A PARTICULAR FEMALE, POSTS ABOUT PROGRAMMING DISCUSSIONS, BUT SAYING "THIS IS NOT A PROGRAMMING QUESTION" AND MANY OTHERS I AM TOO PISSED TO THINK ABOUT RIGHT NOW. BUT I TAKE ALL THAT LIKE A MAN AND MOVE ON. READ WHAT I LIKE, DON'T READ WHAT I DON'T LIKE. BUT NO WHINING FROM ME ABOUT WHAT OTHERS SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T POST BECAUSE I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT/FEEL ENTHUSED BY IT. I HATE WHINERS, AND I HATE THOSE WHO WHINE AND SHOUT AT ME. It's only till March 23rd, and the World Cup happens only once every four years, so relax. There are less than 20 days left. Please bear with us till then. Be a man. Love sports. Cricket posts are far less in number and ratio that the world cup football or whatever was going on some time back. I don't see why guys are complaining now.

I have never complained about your cricket posts before. I'm just tired of seeing them. It pushes all of the "good" posts that I want to read to the bottom. I can't wait until we get a sports message board. It is the soapbox so I can rant about the cricket posts if I like. BTW, I did say please. ;P

You wasted a whole new thread to say stop with the cricket? :-D We have moved to the Soapbox, I feel that is sufficient. Now please relax, take a deep breath and ignore any posts with the word "Cricket" in their titles. Very simple.

I was away from CP for the weekend and when I came back the soapbox had been overrun by cricket. I just needed to vent. I can ignore them, its just inconvenient to have to click Next until I get to a non-cricket post. Especially with my slow connection at home.

So did I. Towards the end. I said, "Please bear with us till then (March 23rd)". :) And it wasn't just you I got mad at. Recently there have been a lot of posts saying people should stop posting about Cricket and how they hate Cricket blah blah blah. I was in a bad mood when I saw your post, because of some problems at work, and I just couldn't stop myself. Normally I am not so short tempered. Anyway, no hard feelings. :)
