Since so many people love cricket and talk about it so frequently on here, would anybody care to explain how it works to me? Also, what do the following things mean: Super Six Super Twelve (I'm thinking Super 6/12 are rounds of the tournament?) Bowler Century  Chris Richardson C/C++ Include Finder[^]

Super Six - a bizarre system in the World Cup that isn't quite a cup or a league. In short, you have two groups in a league tournament, the top three of each advance with a given number of points carried from the first group. This leads to another league called the Super Six. Then the top four advance into a knockout scenario. Super Twelve (I'm thinking Super 6/12 are rounds of the tournament?) - Errr, I don't know. Bowler - one who bowls... like a pitcher in baseball. Century - 100 runs. Paul We all will feed the worms and trees
      So don't be shy

100 runs? It must be a lot easier to get runs in cricket than it is in Baseball. So there's no Super Twelve in cricket? I could have sworn I heard somebody talking about Super Twelve the other day in one of those cricket posts... [edit]And thanks for the info :)[/edit] Chris Richardson C/C++ Include Finder[^]

You've got two people with wickets (bases) only a little distance from each other and they just run between them. Much easier than having to run around four bases quite well spaced. Chris Richardson wrote: So there's no Super Twelve in cricket? I've never heard that used before, I'm pretty sure it's not an official term, but someone might have said it meaning something. I just can't think what at the moment. :) Paul We all will feed the worms and trees

That was Bryce and I talking about the Super 12 which is a Rugby tournament. Rama did his best but it is not just in South Africa. It is a tournament with twelve teams, 4 teams from 3 countries (hence 12.) Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Very highly rated tournament, some of the best Rugby around.
