There are only two reasons for mis-spelling words in English; Stupidity or Ignorance. One can forgive stupidity, for some people are just unteachable. Alas ignorance is merely the dogged insistance on getting things wrong despite having been told how to correct the problem. In England, we speak English. In America they speak some bastardized variation of English interrupted and conflated with grunts and clicks and some very peculiar solecisms.

I am a Brit living (for now) in the US and I tell everyone I am bi-lingual. I speak both English and American.

Given your politics, it might be fun to see your opinion of the various Indian dialects of English.

So for someone who states his location as USA in his profile is moaning about the use of Americanised words on a website that is hosted in Toronto Canada. Sorry that made me chuckle

FYI: In Canada we spell it with the u too. We also spell put the U in Colour ... I'm sure there is a race joke in there somewhere but it's too early on Monday for that.

The thing that I found funny was the reference to a site that is hosted in Canada changing from English to American by a Brit. There is or never was a race joke in there.
