"Principle VI The crimes hereinafter set out are punishable as crimes under international law: a. Crimes against peace: (i) Planning, preparation, initiation or waging of war of aggression or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements of assurances; (ii) Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of any of the acts mentioned under (i)." Are these principles always true?

I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you wanna have your friends by your side. I realize it took more than 2 years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons

Who dares wins :) I think I could sue violators in front of a belgian court. AFAIK, Belgium decided its justice could be concerned by any violation of the international laws. I'm not that sure, if another CPian could confirm?

B) Iraq says US starting war so is destroying peace. Same with the other items. All in how you look at it. So everyone can claim yes and be at total odds with each other X| ""

It missed out one important point. It will be enforced after a war; by the victor over the vanquished; if it suits them to bring some justification to the war. Ofcourse, immediately after WW II , people were thinking in more idealistic terms. My article on a reference-counted smart pointer that supports polymorphic objects and raw pointers
