What a great movie. I am no fan of Leonardo DiCrapio but he has matured and put in a very good performance. Tom Hanks was his usual superb self and Christopher Walken rocked, nobody else quite like him. I won't tell you about the plot because I cannot stand spoilers, so I won't be part of that evil. Plus you can always go spoil it for yourself by reading Salon or IMDB. The story is true however and the plot a great one. At the end they mention how the main character, a fraudster, is now living safe and sound in the American Midwest with a family. I wonder if he is a friend of Roger Wright? Seems the sort... ;) So recommended movie indeed, even if you cannot stand Leonardo.

I definitely enjoyed this one, also. The fact that it was based on someone's real life made it that much better. A good story well told. Even the intro credits were at treat. With the funky-retro-jazz line art animations. I am always on time for movies, always... well until I went and watched CMIFC. Decided to have some coffee and a Tiramasu beforehand, this was 30 minutes before the movie. 10 minutes before the movie, stuff still had not arrived. I asked the waiter and he went pale, then scurried off. 5 minutes later still nothing. Then I asked another waiter who very quickly brought my stuff, but it took her 5 minutes. So there I was with a Cappucino and Tiramasu and the movie about to begin. Never drunk coffee so fast or eaten a cake so quickly. Then when it came to paying the bill they ran out of change and had to ask around... arrrgghhh! Long story short, I missed the intro... Up till two minutes ago I had convinced myself the intro was not important and I had not missed anything... Thanks... ;)

He's not that teen icon anymore, he's actually an actor! Paul Watson wrote: So recommended movie indeed, even if you cannot stand Leonardo. I used to dislike him for his really bad performances. He started out as a pretty face to lure all the teenies to the cinemas, and that's nothing I pay good money for (especially since I'm not a gay teenager ;)). Now that he's actually showing that he can act, I'm seeing past his looks. He's not the poster boy anymore, he's a good actor. And for this role, I say he's perfect. -- Shine, enlighten me - shine Shine, awaken me - shine Shine for all your suffering - shine
