Yeah, I know you would open this message with that title! But I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. This is not about sex, but a reference to a posting in the Visual C++ forum I did yesterday. I HAVE NOT GOT A SINGLE REPLY!! The problem i have is straightforward and I'm sure some of you know how to handle it. Has CP changed from a forum where we amateurs can get good advice from professionals, to a place solely for ranting about cricket or war in Iraq? I hope not. So, if you have calmed down, why not take a look: http://www.codeproject.com/script/comments/forums.asp?forumid=1647&fr=76#xx441677xx Runners live two years longer. I posted something there a few days ago without an answer. I also posted something in the testing forum without a reply. I would try posting it again and maybe changing the title before bringing it to the Soapbox. BTW, from my experience over the past year, CP is not just a place to get coding advice. Its a community where programmers can also come and just hang out with their peers. P.S. While we're on the subject, would someone please help me test my application. Go to the testing forum and find out more.

Pretty soon the playoffs for the National Hockey League will be starting up. You have been warned of the many rants/ravings that will surely occur. Since my Habs don't look good for being there this year, this year's cheer has been changed to "Go Canucks". An all Canadian final of Vancouver versus Ottawa would be fantastic. Any takers on a bet? It's an impression that I have. When I started to visit CP the number of postings in the Visual C++ forum was in the same magnitude as in the Lounge. Now the number of postings on the Lounge is much higher. Back then there were many more answers to any programming question. I have no statistics to support this, just a feeling. I guess it's natural. The technology is maturing, MFC/Visual C++ is no longer a new frontier. Many articles have been written, the number of novel subjects are shrinking. The enthusiasm, and thereby the willingness to help others, will not be the same. But, you may add, there is allways something new, C# and .NET. From the number of postings it doesn't seem to catch up steam. Maybe it is just simpler, I can't say since I don't know anything about it. But I'm not ungrateful, I've posted several programming questions in CP, and I've got many very extreemely useful answers. As to my recent query? Maybe it's a stupid question, or a very difficult one. I'll sure look into it myself. Regards, Haakon. Runners live two years longer. But those two years they spend running.
