I am stuck. Website (business) is now created and we have very few users for the site. It was developed to help the freelance community and employers on outsourcing work. But it seems if you are not registered with one of the big boys then you remain unseen.
Is there a way to avoid the obvious i.e. not getting further than GO!?
Both are perfect ways but if really wanted to choose the one of them, then social media may be the best one to go and market your site. It really helps to create your community and tell everyone about your site. Publish text, images and videos to promote your website on social media.

It is normally always put on social media about what important are selling or your focus. Do not put the name of the company but talk similar thing what you are doing. Twitter and Linkedin are the top social for making good traffic for our website. I trust it many time. Make some article on strong website so it will get good impact for our website. :(

For me, the combination of the two skills could be better. Social media is mainly for the popularity of your website building while the article might help improve the content of your website, from a deep perspective. Hope it's helpful for you.

First of all, before answering this question, To set the basics right. Social Media always focuses on bringing brand awareness, where as articles can provide infomation and even bring sales & revenue to the brand. So It solely depends on your end goal, if you are a brand which wants to focus up on Brand awareness, I recommend using Social Media. If you are looking to provide information about your Niche market and educate users, you can go with Articles. I generally follow kuware.com for Marketing related information. Hope this helps you too.

Most definitely a combination of both, but your niche will determine WHICH social media platforms make most sense for you to spend time working on. In terms of social, invest your time where the largest chunks of your user base spend their time - whether it be FB, IG, Pintrest, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit or a niche forum. Get to know the rules and norms of that community so that you can be impactful in a positive way rather than leaving a negative impression of you and your company... The above strategy will get you the most immediately noticeable improviement in terms of traffic. You also want to publish articles on reputable, relevant, non-spammy and authoritative sites that get real traffic, as these will help build authority in the eyes of the search engines, and therefore get you more organic traffic in the long run by virtue of improved rankings. There are 3 types of article sites you may be interested in, depending on your needs and situation: a) Sites that are emerging, don't yet have a ton of authority (Low DA/DR/TF) but a good amount of traffic, or highly targeted traffic b) Sites that are highly authoratative and established, get tons of traffic but also have so much content yours won't necessarilly garner as many referral visits as the previous - as these will help your organic rankings quite a bit or c) Best of both worlds - highly authoritative AND high traffic potential Depending on your niche and your, choose your social network(s) and article sites accordingly That said, I must Emphatically state the answer is definiately BOTH!

There are many ways to promote a new website, and the best approach will depend on the target audience and resources available. Here are a few options to consider: Social media: This can be a effective way to reach a large, targeted audience quickly. You can use platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to promote your website and share updates and content. Content marketing: Creating and sharing valuable, relevant, and consistent content (like this one)can help attract and retain a clearly defined audience. You can use a variety of content formats, such as blog posts, articles, infographics, videos, and podcasts, to promote your website and attract visitors. Email marketing: Building an email list and sending newsletters to subscribers can be an effective way to promote your website and its content. You can use email marketing to nurture leads and build relationships with potential customers. Search engine optimization (SEO): Optimizing your website for search engines can help improve your search rankings and drive organic traffic to your site. This can involve optimizing your website's content, structure, and technical components to make it more attractive to search engines. Advertising: You can use paid advertising, such as Google AdWords or Facebook Ads, to reach a specific, targeted audience and drive traffic to your website. It's important to find the right balance and mix of tactics that work for your business, and to track and measure the results to see what's most effective.
