Today my Kindergarten kid came home with a letter from school. It is about "Coping with feelings about War". "The reports of an expected war against Iraq are dominating news coverage and discussion. As the situation will continue to unfold over the days and weeks ahead, it's clear that children will have many questions. School staff are skilled at helping students deal with difficult issues and feelings of concern, and we have provided additional resources to schools to help students." Follow live World Cup Cricket scores here[^]

I thought we were supposed to shield our children from seeing this kind of stuff until they were older. You know, just like you wouldn't bring them to a funeral. Brad Jennings "if the golden arches shut shop, where else are the VB people going to get work." - Colin Davies

Oh for Christ's sake! Kindergarten kids shouldn't even be AWARE of this stuff. They should be living in their wonderfully innocent world for several more years. Educators are SUCH IDIOTS. I hear the mantra "we have to give them the tools to cope with the real world", but then does anyone consider what the right tools are??? Noooo. They think computers, useless information, and forcing adult thoughts onto small children is "the right tools". Argh. This makes me sooo mad! One of our biggest genetic flaws is the ability to adapt ourselves into oblivion. Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

Completely off topic, but my funeral will be a plastic bag, all the money left going to the biggest party that people will remember (when they recover !). The best was to be remembered  The tigress is here :-D

I agree it was wrong. I'm saying they should leave that type of issue to parents. BW "We get general information and specific information, but none of the specific information talks about time, place or methods or means..." - Tom Ridge - US Secretary of Homeland Security
