This intentional?

A user mentioned me in a discussion CodeProject sent me an email to tell me I had been mentioned in a discussion The email came from that users personal email address, not from CodeProject's email address
Quote:
Sorry, but this is too stupid. Do you think if I mention you in a discussion an you get an email?
Yes you do, and if you mentioned me in this discussion, I would get an email from your personal email address to tell me, not from CodeProject!

Yes, if you use the @ member ID format it will email that member. You don't have to click the email button.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

It would be me having your email address, not the other way around. Replace me with any random stranger on the internet, and random people having your email address is a bad thing. I don't want your email address :)

I think my english is too weak to follow. Again your last Statement sounds that the one who answered was the Initiator.eod.

Apologies! This website has a bug where I can see your personal email address, even though I should not be able to. Does that make sense?

I understand this completely, if this happens unintentional IT IS A PB. Can you tell me my email adress? For me it not a pb if you publish it here.
I can tell your email address if you mention me in a post For example. @JMK-NI If you typed that into a post, I would have your email address Please do not do this, as it is better that strangers on the internet do not have your email address :) Making sense?

Please do not! I am sure that the CodeProject can fix this now, they have everything they need.

Somebody mentioned me in a discussion, and I got an email from their email address (the one they signed up with) telling me that I had been mentioned in a discussion. So now I have their email address. Is that a bug or a feature?
It is by design and not a bug...
Skipper: We'll fix it. Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this? Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

it is not by design. By design is to have an email from Codeproject telling you have been mentioned, but without the personal email address of the one who mentioned you. At least it was like that before
M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.
