Power lunch
-
As I have migrated from merely being a developer to running my own corporation, I sometimes hear business speak coming out of my own mouth. However, just recently, I've started utilizing a new term -- "power lunch." Like, that's soooo 80s. I was telling my employees, "Are you free for a power lunch on Monday so that we can do training on the billing system?" Yoy. And.....on your marks, get set, go!

These were also known as "brown bags" (for "brown bag seminar") in the 80s, when people brought their lunch (usually in a brown paper bag) to a meeting. /ravi

I had a CEO that kept saying that customers wanted square eggs (meaning features that do not make sense to anyone but the customer which the CEO didn't want the developers to work on, even if they actually made sense)
