Seems like I got a vote a couple of days ago for one of my articles (How to NLog (2.1 & 3.1) with VisualStudio 2013[^] but I can't see any points on the reputation history that might be related to that vote. Here's a screenshot of both pages: http://i.imgur.com/NXIIteU.png[^] Any ideas of what might be up ?

There are limits [^] on the number of votes that count towards reputation per day.

From the screen shoot he provided, he did not reach the day limit.

As near as I can see, the voter just created a message with the title "My Vote of 5" without actually voting.

Nice catch, I didn't pay attention to the wrong icon.

Can it be a change of vote ? CodeProject keep track of who voted and don't give points again when voting again or changing the vote.

not sure, seems like a new vote and comment, and the title suggests (to me at least) it's a new one

like the other person suggested, didn't reach the limit that day (or any other day for that purpose :)

 Righty-Oh ... I thought they are autogenerated when you vote ... never crossed my mind to leave a comment and manually type "my vote of x" as the header ... So, votes have the general one, and suggestions have the lightbulb ... oh i see .. Well, cheers for that, mystery solved :)

Yes, they do, as said Chris. But One can also forge a message with the same title and icon

Seems to me like a lot of work to "forge" one :) Unless you start looking at people who try to fake votes for their articles to get rep? Anyhow, looking at the author page, I doubt it's the case :)He's been around for eight? years ...

But all he's done is post 4 messages in that time, and not logged in very often, as his rep points show.

yep, but i was meaning it's probably a real user, and not a fake account that someone created to upvote his own articles.

Forging a fake My vote message looks fairly simple to me. 1) choose the General icon. 2) type the title My vote of 5 3) and type a congratulation message.

I wouldn't bother with doing it, since I don't see the point in that. But fair enough :)
