Is Windows 10 unstable? That's the question that’s circulating through the blogosphere of late. With even veteran Windows watchers like Mary Jo Foley and Paul Thurrott now documenting their frustrations with the new OS, the perception that Microsoft released Windows 10 before it was ready is beginning to grow.

    Progress!

Your mileage will vary - I've been finding it very stable playing Candy Crush Saga.

What else can computers be used for?, as long as you have FB and games you're good to go! :)

And Visual Studio 2015 should've been Visual Studio 2016. But of course we'd rather have it sooner than better...

I really wonder what these people are doing with their PC. I have been using mine for several weeks now with Win10, zero problem.

My computer crashed while running Android Studio, Visual Studio Community 2015, an AVD, and Firefox Developer Edition, but I think the root cause was Windows 10 ;P:cool: :-\

Same is the case with me. All applications I need are working without any trouble (that I know of).

I had a few minor teething problems with W10 (some documented in older CP threads), but nothing bad enough to consider going back to W7. This week, I had to help a local charity who got stuck trying to access each other's PCs after upgrading to W10 from W7 as they had not set up homegroups. It turns out they every PC had defaulted a homegroup and you can only merged to one homegroup if there is only one other homegroup on the network. So, all other PCs had to be suspended (sleep mode) and brought up one at a time and added to the 'primary' homegroup before the next one could be woken up. I'm connected in to my wife's W8.1 homegroup; but she is still waiting for her upgrade and is reluctant to force it as W8.1 updates fail every time on her laptop. Despite the above, once it was up and running, W10 seems to me to be a significant improvement and I would not go back to W7 unless something dreadful happened.

I upgraded my 32bit Win7 to Win10 with no issues. After using it for a while, I held my breath, added 8 GB of Ram and did a clean install to 64bit Win10. No issues since then (other than the severe annoyance that my midi keyboard isn't Win10 compatible and the manufacturer says they have no plans to make Win10 drivers available - grrr). I just went ahead and ordered a new keyboard, and will never buy another Roland product.

I had less issues with WindowsME than I've had with Windows 10. Windows 10 cost me tens of thousands of dollars in lost data due to a bug. I remember the issues I had with ME. But at-least it didn't destroy my data. You think I could get the issue resolved with MS support? Nope. They hire chimps from the Zoo.
