New way to say "I haven't read your email"

So the meeting leader started asking questions I answered last week. When someone commented on that, she stated, "Yeah, I guess he sent me that information, I just need to tap into it." Tap into it = I will eventually read your email. :-\
I would have interpreted that as: "I know he sent me an email, but I didn't give a rat's ass."

When talking with colleagues (or friends, for that sake) to whom I have sent emails, nowadays I always assume that they have NOT read it. In conversations, I never refer to the info in my email, or ask if they have read it. Rather, I say something like "Did you read about that ". If the reply is "I have heard a little about it", then I know they don't even know that I have supplied the info. If they say "The info you sent me? Yes, I got it", then they have seen the title line in the email. Only if they refer to specific information without rerferring to my email do I know that they really have made use of the info I provided.
