See this : http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/5147174/Abuse.aspx[^] Your friend used highly abusive words. It won't be tolerated even in future.

He used the Hindi-equivalent of the f-word. Not sure if he had to be banned for that.

Especially in case one write it in English it would be "corrected" automatically and after this correction usually nobody will take care about the f word. Looks pretty unfair to ban him because of this.

Yeah, we have too many of these over-sensitive people here these days. It's just text at the end of the day.

What happens is one person posts it in Spam and Abuse and then everyone else comes along and trusts that the poster has done due diligence and so they mark it as abusive without even researching it. Maybe a little too much trust in that forum. :^)

Is that all it was? From the message in the Spam forum, I assumed it was something much worse. In that case, I'm happy for my report on the user to be removed.

Yeah, he did use it in noun form though and addressed the person he was replying to. Still, that's the sort of thing where I'd expect folks to down-vote or ignore and move on.

Then please search for all Messages containing "f***", "f******" and similar and Report them. Sick from my Point of view! I do not Support using this words, but writing it in English it is automatically "masked" and usually nobody to bother about it.

No one is over sensitive here. This is not parliament and we are not here to rule the world. You should be aware that Hindi and English are totally different languages. It must not be translated in such cases. People who have english as there native language uses the word "fu***" in discussion, agree but the translated word "Ch****" is not used anywhere in India in "General" conversations. You are in USA. Ask your relatives living in India since when ch**** became a normal word. Its really really abusive as per as Hindi is concerned. Don't defend people who insults someone. It is abusive and it will be.

No. I would still say, translation is irrelevant here.

Absolutely right and I have to think about this for myself again, I mean to report something for which I can't read the "abuse text". I think I trusted too much in the past. Not in this case, but maybe in a lot of other cases....

If you are talking about me,you are wrong. I've reported some high reputation accounts in past and as a result, highly abusive words are being supported just to oppose me! Funny. If you consider whole site,i agree with your point. Some of the members will be questioned on almost every occasion where some selective members(influential?) won't be even asked for clarification on same issues. Fact.

Absolutely right and I have to think about this for myself again, I mean to report something for which I can't read the "abuse text". I think I trusted too much in the past. Not in this case, but maybe in a lot of other cases....

I've done it too. And most of the time people who post in here are correct.

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

No it was in reference to someone I reported as abusive in spam and abuse forum a few days ago. Just have to laugh it off sometimes. Can't take it too serious.
