Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? What happens is one person posts it in Spam and Abuse and then everyone else comes along and trusts that the poster has done due diligence and so they mark it as abusive without even researching it. Maybe a little too much trust in that forum. :^)

OK not sure what part is directed at me? "I've reported some high reputation accounts in past and as a result, highly abusive words are being supported just to oppose me! " If so you need to get over yourself, I'm pretty sure I have not used highly abusive words towards you.
I'm not that little guy who becomes personal over silly issues :) . I'm just concerned about double standards.

Who is saying that f***** is right and c****** is an abusive word..? First he should be investigate if he don't know meaning of that word. In India its very common word people of India used it their friend circle, How can he mark a comment to abusive that he is not clear that its abusive or not? A person maintaining his account more that 6 years and 1 day somebody came and marked his account as abusive and many of them just go with flow and blocked his account. For his information the word so called abusive meaning is "An Idiot" in India.

Codeproject is a public forum, not one's personal playground or so called 'friend circle'. People in India use too many such words(you know what i'm talking about) that doesn't mean it's totally fine to use it on Codeproject,in unmasked text.

No one is over sensitive here. This is not parliament and we are not here to rule the world. You should be aware that Hindi and English are totally different languages. It must not be translated in such cases. People who have english as there native language uses the word "fu***" in discussion, agree but the translated word "Ch****" is not used anywhere in India in "General" conversations. You are in USA. Ask your relatives living in India since when ch**** became a normal word. Its really really abusive as per as Hindi is concerned. Don't defend people who insults someone. It is abusive and it will be.

For you f*** is common word, and that word you don't know is abusive

You are with CP since 3 years ago, and a person who is maintaining his account since last 6 years you marked him as abusive its totally wrong. Just because of he is not having so much point as you have so you will mark abusive to any one.?

Points have nothing to do with this discussion.

You should ask your friend, relative lives in India that its abusive or not? they will tell you the truth. Its very common word in India as I told you that meaning is "Idiot", after that also you are justifying what you have done?
AVI_T wrote:

No. Its different. Let me end this discussion from my end : If he would have written idiot,i could mark the message as abusive and moved on,but the word 'C****a' is not for public forums, not related to word idiot, highly abusive.

I am also living in India and I know the meaning of that special word. It is upto you how you take it. While it was unmasked, it should be marked as abusive, but de-activating his account was not fair in any way. He want his account back.:) Would you please suggest a way to get his account back.

You already did your part posting here. It now is a decision for the owners / workers of CP, not on the users. They read every of such posts and deliver each case individually (I have seen it several times). Just be patient and wait for feedback of the Staff
M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

__| | | | \| |__| | | /I always thought it was not a great idea to auto-ban users based on people voting them as abusive. Specially in a multi-cultural forum. That said, a lot of people use the relative anonymity of the internet to behave in a manner they would not dream of doing if they knew that people'd associate that with their real self.
