    NBC News[^]:

Twelve years ago Thursday, Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook with a simple dream: to have everyone spending as much time as possible clicking around on his website.

How did we waste all that time before Facebook?

That logic may be even worse than my Tiobe logic... Time was wasted anyway, people now just do it on Facebook. It's like the music industry. NOT every (illegal) download is a lost sale! Many people who download would never buy a CD anyway. And so not every minute spent on Facebook is a lost working minute! Those people wouldn't have worked that minute one way or another... Well, I guess the article does mention it.

shhh, don't tell it so loud... someone could come to the dumb idea to count the time waste in the lounge :cool:

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt

FaceBook keeps some idiots I know off the streets.

«In art as in science there is no delight without the detail ... Let me repeat that unless these are thoroughly understood and remembered, all “general ideas” (so easily acquired, so profitably resold) must necessarily remain but worn passports allowing their bearers short cuts from one area of ignorance to another.» Vladimir Nabokov, commentary on translation of “Eugene Onegin.”
