hello, We intend to append Youtube video links with our IoT articles. For other articles, it's different, but for hardware related stuff it is always great to see the demo to understand how stuff works. Earlier, Kevin used to add Youtube links of my articles whenever I requested. Is there any ways to put the youtube thumbnails embedded in page? Or, shall we put the link at the top of the page and leave a message for the editor?

I can certainly add the videos for you. The caveat is that every time you need to edit the article, I have to do it, otherwise the video will break.

      Thanks, Sean Ewington CodeProject

Can't you make it so that the user can insert youtube links, but only if that user meets a pre-determined set of "we-trust-you" requirements? The article editor could be configured to allow/disallow it based on that criteria, and the site admin would be able to override it at any time (ostensibly to take the feature away if the otherwise qualified user posts a video link that does not have to do with the article).

I think it would be better if we could just embed the video in the article body, but whatever...

It's been almost eight hours. Is it implemented yet?

I give up for tonight. CKEditor just doesn't want to play nice with iFrames. I'll have another crack tomorrow.

You can now add videos yourself using the iFrame tag. Only YouTube, Channel 9 and Vimeo videos are supported. Video support in articles[^]
