    I just came across the following comment in some code in our core application:

    // VERY VERY TEMP!

    Care to guess when that was written? (it is still in our code now) Answer:- I don't know because it was already in the first version of the code loaded into our version control system.

      I went to school in a very, very temporary building that was put up shortly after World War 2. It's still going strong. On that basis, the code should be good a few decades yet.

        Is that comment followed by just-good-enough code that somebody should go back and rewrite?

          Hard coded list of currency codes. I guess it was good enough to last.
