Are the live costs in toronto so expensive as there in the US? I mean not only rent, clothes or food. I mean as well school, medical insurance and so on

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

You guys over there make about twice the money I make (if not more). However, my schooling was paid for the most part by the government. Debt when I got out of school was $0. We have at least 20 paid free days (not counting about 10 holidays, and most people have more anyway). I have 25 + 10 from holidays. When I get sick I get free (or cheap) healthcare (at the cost of about $80 a month). Also, my employer keeps paying my full salary for a few months, then a little less, and then the government takes over (or something like that). When I get unemployed I get government money (after my boss paid me first). Job security is pretty high here anyway, I probably couldn't be fired if I took a shit on my boss' desk! I'm insured for practically everything (except health and car) for about $10 a month. When I get old I get even more money. Canada has something like that if I'm not mistaken. What does America have, except higher salaries in some sectors? In the end it all plays out I guess

Yeah sure, Europe, with its many countries, diverse cultures and rich history is London and Paris. This is North America + 5 cities from 4 countries. That's not global at all (unless you're an American I guess)

It's vaguely more global than their "world series", I suppose.

Where do they get their figures from? - In London the AVERAGE salary is way lower than claimed. Actually, according to payscale -which I beleive is more reliable- it is just about £38k. Software Developer Salary in London, England: London (United Kingdom)[^]
