Kaspersky files antitrust complaint against Microsoft for disabling its anti-virus software

kaspersky alwasy seemed to me to be good av... but in these days of free av, why would anyone want to keep it?

The bit about MS updating too quickly is a bit of a waaa.

Kasperky Anti-Virus is just a horrid spyware itself.

No specifics in that complaint; but in the past when they did go into details it was always MS replacing paid AV that was out of subscription by an extended period. While you can made a strong argument that fully updated versions of Kaspersky, Norton, Avast, etc. are better than a fully updated version of Windows Defender (or WTF they're calling it this week). You can also make a strong argument for the reverse. OTOH anyone trying to claim a version of the former that hasn't been updated in months is better than the current version of Defender is either a paid shill or an moron. Without the latest definitions an AV tool is as elephanting useless as an exterior screen door on a submarine.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
