Complaint: Anonymous massive downvotes

May be the wrong place, but I don't know where to post this. I have the feeling that someone is conducting a downvote campaign against me. He was brave enough to downvote 10 times over the WE, but too faint to leave a single comment. My solutions are really that bad or is it an abuse ? I would have really liked to have a discuss with him, at least I would understand what he don't like. That is why I don't like anonymous downvotes. Propose a solution for client-server elementary communications[^] How insert array in a mysql db (foreach)[^] Please help me out in java language.. Thanks in advance[^] Hotel booking system (room availability)[^] What SQL query should I write to get following output[^] Help with code to highlight search result in list view[^] How to check all column cell of datagridview? If one or more cell is empty, it will return a value?[

Your 'solutions' are voted down for a reason you don't understand (really?). Somebody else votes up all those answers for a reason I don't understand. You post a gripe here suggesting some kind of abuse is occurring. The Q&A seems to be operating normally.

Your 'solutions' are voted down for a reason you don't understand (really?). Somebody else votes up all those answers for a reason I don't understand. You post a gripe here suggesting some kind of abuse is occurring. The Q&A seems to be operating normally.

Bulk down votes (any down vote to 1) without any comments are not ok from my point of view, that's why I voted up for some of his down voted answers. BTW: I also don't like the standard answers, and gave him then and when a low vote. But any time I did this, I wrote a comment showing that it was me and explained why. Furhtermore I see a big improvment that he explains the problem or give some hints first, before the standard answer follows. Only my 1 cent

We all have our own point of view but it is possible the votes are a genuine attempt to send a message without entering into further argument. The reason for the vote down is probably quite clear. Anonymous voting is still a good system in my opinion. What is unfortunate is when a question is a poor question but still receives an answer that is completely generic and only qualifies as comment. When that answer gets voted up with a comment added "+5" then I like many others feel things are headed in the direction of a small group of people who are regulars in Q&A and not in the direction of quality.

Keep up the good work my friend. Obviously there are someone out there, hold too much knowledge in their head, but, too shy to help or contribute, and yet too eager to criticize. :doh: :doh: :doh: Hopefully something will be done to encourage more people to contribute and enforce a positive environment.
