 Nice keyboard setup in the home space! I suppose you have them MIDI'd into a PC? As an old kb enthusiast, and missing the programmability of my long lost Korg dw-8000, I tried UVI Workstation through a mid-priced 88 key Yamaha but was so disappointed with the latency (even w/asio) that I haven't used it in over a year. In hindsight I should have just spent a little more money on a more robust/programmable kb. (at least one with a joystick!) :)

Thanks! Yes, the MIDI controllers are hooked into the Mac in the center of the pic. I mostly use the libraries and software synths from Native Instrument's Komplete package (I favor Kontakt and Massive), but I also have some from Steinberg, Indiginus and others. The Mac is dedicated to the music stuff. The Windows box on the left used to host the music, but I wanted it to be portable on the off-chance I ever play live again, or convince some unsuspecting musicians to add to my tracks. The 88-key on the bottom is just a cheap Alesis Q88. The one on top is a Nextar P6 which is an awesome keyboard, if only because it has dedicated DAW controls I can use without having to bother with the Mac keyboard or mouse. I've got three other MIDI controllers, including a wind controller that is taking some getting used to. Latency hasn't been a problem for me since I got an audio interface (I'm using NI's Audio 6). Are you using an AI, or just your PC's soundcard?

There are no neon lights at my office. I think they are all LED lights. No, we don't sell lights, we sell music performance licenses.
