Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced that since announcing Career Day last week the company has received more than 208,000 job applications online for roles in the U.S.

Imagine if they wanted to hire 30,001 workers.

Amazon advertised their job openings extensively, so their high applicant rate is expected. Many of us here probably receive unsolicited job emails from Amazon.
